Hi Euansmam. Sorry, I haven't been on MN much over the w/e so I've only just seen your post. My children are now both secondary school age but I'd be happy to meet up with you if you'd like. I've met up with 3 other MNers in the last couple of years. Twice in a cafe in town (the eco friendly type one near the library) and twice in the supermarket with a cafe (which is currently being made much larger). I work in town so could meet you there, if you'd like? If you'd rather chat a bit on e-mail first, I could CAT (contact another talker) you or you could find me on the Good Housekeeping daily FLY thread (not the babysteps one) and you could get to know me a bit better there, first. You'll find another local MNer on those threads, too and her children are primary and pre-primary school age. She's very nice. smile Your call. smile

Hi new to mumsnet and talk boards! Im a mum of a 2 year old and am pregnant, new baby due in March. I m interested im linking up with other mums with children of a simular age and sharing local info, i live in Cardigan area

Simply Wed 14-Nov-07 21:37:37

Hi ivycross. Sorry, I've only just seen your post. Yes, I'm in Aber but moved here when my children were school and pre-school age so I don't know much about what is around for new mums in this area really. I'd be happy to chat to you if you want, though.

I don't spend much time on MN at all due to work, running a house and having older children with all their after school activities. If I'm to be found anywhere, it's on the daily Fly thread which is on the Good Housekeeping topic. As I mentioned in an earlier post, another regular on that thread lives near Aber and her children are much younger than mine and she is lovely. Does that help at all? smile

Hi there peaceplease. Sorry, I'm too far away from you so a meet up isn't possible for me, I'm afraid. I hope you manage to find others in Pembrokeshire soon. smile

Schmozer Thu 03-Apr-08 10:48:02

Hi Simply - did you used to be Tiamaria? If so, I owe you a big apology for losing touch. Would love to catch up at some point.

Erelma Wed 23-Jul-08 20:19:37

Simply Mon 15-Sep-08 22:33:50

Schmozer We've e-mailed but not met up yet - how awful am I at making arrangements?! Please give me a prod if you'd like to meet up.

Erelma Sorry not to have seen your post before now. I hope the summer (not that we've had one!) hols went okay for you. Please post again and we'll see if we can get a meet up organised if you'd be interested in that. smile

Hello I am on the Carmarthenshire/Cardiganshire borders. First pregnancy and very nervous! Would love to be in contact with local Mothers as it would be great to get to know people from the same area

Jools78 Tue 18-May-10 14:40:22

I'm moving to Machynlleth at the beginning of June 2010. One 3 year old, one 8 month old. Please contact me if you fancy hooking up!

LinzerTorte Thu 27-May-10 15:28:29

I'm not actually in Aberystwyth any more, but I do get back a couple of times to visit my parents. I'll be back next in late July/August - would love to meet other MNers if anyone happens to be around then!

littlemissaberystwyth Tue 08-Jun-10 18:04:42

Jools78 Mon 14-Jun-10 21:17:25

Great! I just moved to Machynlleth area so look forward to your housekeeping and postings, tsarina. I've come from Bristol where I used mumsnet lots so it's good to see its got a breath of fresh air. Will do what I can to support you.

Jools78 Mon 14-Jun-10 21:20:16

PS saw from a very old posting on this thread that there's an eco friendly cafe near the library in Aber. Is that still up and running? Might go one day to check out the library and cafe with my two (3y DD and 9 month old DS)...

BessieBoots Mon 14-Jun-10 21:23:14

Hey Jools! I'm 3 miles from Mach with a 4yoDS and an 9mo DS... How are you settling?

LinzerTorte Mon 14-Jun-10 22:13:30

Hi Jools, I think the eco-friendly cafe is probably the Tree House in Baker Street. I usually go there for lunch and/or coffee whenever I'm back in Aber - they have lovely cake too!

BessieBoots Tue 15-Jun-10 11:59:05

Ooooh, the Tree House is lovely... As is the Quarry Caff in Machynlleth (Owned by The Centre For Alternative Technology.)
