Selling home baked good locally. Anyone done this?

Hi all

I'm new and not even sure if I'm posting in the correct place, but maybe someone can direct me if I'm in the wrong place!

I've been baking birthday cakes (adults and kids), cupcakes, brownies etc for the past year or so for friends and family and friends of friends. Everyone raves about them and tells me I should sell them more widespread. Has anyone does this?

I'm not expecting to make millions, but is it worth the effort? I really enjoy baking and think I can fit it in between my part time job and the school runs.

Any advice appreciated.

Many thanks.

I don't personally, but I have seen a mum drop off her home-baked goods at the Phoenix Cinema, so you aren't alone.

I chair Age UK Barnet. DM me if you would like to sell cakes at our day centres, although we would want a donation (and it is a fairly price sensitive market).

Friern Barnet People's Library is another option you could try (again they may want a donation in return for giving you space).

Good luck

Dear Teapartycake

Check out any farmer's markets that could be near you and also whether you would need something like a food licence ( as you would be selling food ) Thanks Clare
