Hello,

My name is Pola. I am a Spanish nurse who has just arrived to Bristol with my husband and two and one-half years old daughter. My husband is working at the University. I've a lot of free time and I would like to improve my English. Would you like to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea speaking half time in English and half time in Spanish? It could be a good experience for our children, who will play while we will be chatting. If you don't have children or they are older but you are interested in, there is no problem. I am sure that I'll find time and we will be able to improve languages and to share our cultures.

Best wishes

Pola

I'm interested! My husband is also at the University (of Bristol, right?) and I've been here 6 months, originally from California. I studied Spanish as my minor in school (University) but have forgotten a lot of it in the last 10 years. Would love to get some of it back! I have a 4-year-old daughter (in school 9-3:30) and a 7 month old daughter so the ages are a little off but I'd love to meet up and try it. (Hmmm, I won't be able to help you with an English accent though...) I'm generally free most days, though my daughter still takes a lot of naps which I sometimes need to accommodate, sometimes not. What area are you living? I'm currently living near the south side of campus, in Kingsdown. I just saw a post for the Playful Cafe, which looks interesting as a potential meet-up spot. Let me know what works for you. I'm not sure how to exchange email/phone-numbers on this site however, as I haven't done this before.
