The Summer holidays are finally here!!! The school year has finally finished, so we thought we'd put together a list of events for Families both in Newham and a little further afield.
We hope our guide will help you plan your Summer Holidays.

20 July
Children's Theatre Festival Free Family friendly outdoor children's theatre performances at Canary Wharf for all the family to enjoy together.

21 July
1) Secret Agents Spy Academy at Discover Children's Story Centre is on until 31 August

2) Summer holiday activities at the Museum of Childhood until 31 August.

3) Celebrate Shakespeare's 450th birthday with free theatre outdoor performances at Canary Wharf's serene Jubilee Park.

4) Octopus's Garden by Ringo Starr Join the Story Builders for beach time classics with a different story each week of the summer holidays. From Mon 21 - Sun 27 July.

22 July
Twilight Delights (Jubilee Park) Canada Square Park will be alive with an array of open air performances this summer; from soul to pop, from West End classics to swing and from a 1950s tribute show to a boogie party with the annual Twilight Delight series of music concerts.

23 July
1) ?Change? Exhibition By ThinkArts! Thinkarts! is a service user led arts group which participates in art to contribute to the on-going wellness of its members.

3 Artists, Mothers and More: start a revolution at Rich Mix. This is a call to everyone who is mothering anything, to see how we can support each other to do the work we care about with everything we have - body and soul - and make it better valued.

4) Mile Long Hopscotch Free of charge and takes you on a guided route from Maplin St in Mile End through events and workshops. You'll find refreshing drinks, a toy hack workshop and the marvellous PATH playworkers on your travels.

5) Enchanted Festival East Ham Market Hall Discover a land of mystery at East Ham Market and celebrate Eid and the Launch of the Newham Summer reading challenge

27 July
1) Victoria Park Summer Bandstand Season - an afternoon of music and fun. The perfect way to relax – feel free to bring a picnic! Located at The Bandstand.

2) Summer Market & Cafe at the Spitalfields City Farm. Every Sunday you will find a market and a city farm with all the trimmings. BBQ Chorizo Stall as well as vegan/vegetarian options...

3) Summer Festival in the V&A Museum of Childhood The Museum grounds will be buzzing with live music, dance, walkabout acts, art and craft activities, designer stalls, food, face painting, rickshaw rides and games.

4) Children's Theatre Festival Free Family friendly outdoor children's theatre performances at Canary Wharf for all the family to enjoy together.

5) Great British Carnival at the Park The Carnival will feature a vibrant mix of international carnival artistes, homegrown performers and local carnivals from Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest – and it’s completely free!

1) Love Parks Week Launch Join us for the launch of Love Parks Week where we will be celebrating Britain’s parks with lots of fun free activities.

3) Summer Holidays at the Ragged School Museum! Every Weds & Thurs from 30th July to 28th August. Getting ready to go, preparing to travel and the long boat and train journeys, to settling down in the Canadian countryside and getting to grips with farm work...

The Elephantom The Elephantom is a wonderfully inventive mix of puppetry, movement, dance, music – and theatrical ingenuity, and is brought to you by the original War Horse puppeteer team.

2) Family Fun Fridays: Puppet Play Jiggle along with Indigo Moon Theatre's 'Saraswati' dancing marionette from Rajasthan. Make an Indian dancing puppet and try out its Bollywood moves in a creative workshop (for ages 3+, sign up on the day). Create a finger puppet or produce a pop up theatre to take home.
