irvinemum Thu 30-Jun-11 09:35:57

AliShannon Wed 27-Jul-11 21:28:04

Hello,
I am also from S.Ayrshire, I am in Ayr. One baby 8 mnths & one toddler 2 and 3/4, I am struggling to find events and interesting events for them, I sadly missed the peppa pig at the races in ayr.
two weeks ago i was in the north of scotland, where they forestry commission held a gruffalo walk, where my toddler was the mouse and as we walked through the woods the story unfolded, leading up to us meeting the gruffalo, I hoped that something similar might be happening in ayrshire, in Culzean mabye, if anybody knows of anything i would be very grateful.

Macdog Fri 29-Jul-11 20:24:10

Not heard of anything at Culzean, am there regularly.
Kelburn has the Secret Forest, but not buggy friendly

irvinemum Thu 03-Nov-11 22:20:09

Ellington park it,s bit of a track how are you planing to get? i use to go to largs alot.
If you going by train there route from largs to kilwinning you can get the number 11 bus got right outside the park but then you have a 5 min walk to get in to the park it self . Or you can get the 585 bus from largs get off at stevenson and get the 11 bus.
Train mite be better as kids go free on train their deal at the moment weekend only i hope this is helpful

It is an old thread, if I ever get my printer working and paperwork sorted out, I think I will be the local editor for North Ayrshire and I would really like a band of coffee drinkers and cake eaters supporters grin. I am, as the name suggests in Stevenston, but am mobile
