'How to read with your child'.

disabled access

3.20 pm. Your child bounces out of school with their book-bag, complete with a carefully selected book, reading diary and a request to 'Please read this with your child....'

But what does that mean? What if my child can't read the book? How do I help? Do children sound out words these days and how do you sound out words like 'enough' anyway?!

At our workshops we explain how children learn to read including phonics and 'sight' words. Then we show you what you can do to help them at each stage of their reading development. And we give you the opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed, informal setting.

Please contact us to book. Workshops can be organised at other times and during the week. We also come to organisations such as toddler groups and schools.

Times and prices are subject to change. Contact venue before setting out.
