Lovely food and a great atmosphere. We often go here for big family meals out as there is something for everyone. The ribs are always a hit and I've had a lovely Thai curry there.
For some unknown reason when they did the restaurant up a few years ago they decided that despite being a bar/restaurant with beautiful views of the river they'd actually move the bar from the back wall and put it across the side of the room that overlooks the river, meaning much reduced views and to be honest you could be anywhere in most of the tables. Real shame - such a gorgeous location and the restaurant would have been fab with views and a balcony to eat out on lovely summer nights. Still, you can go down for a drink outside after your meal!

Note - I have eaten downstairs in the bar with friends on occasion but this review is specific to the upstairs restaurant where the boy and I eat.

Large menu selection so you can pick from pizza and a glass of beer or go full on with the T-bone steak. Many of the starters can be also had as mains and they have a couple of good sharing platters too. Lots of great fish dishes.

The boy and I always ask for a big table when we go and order a load of starters, sides and a main to all come at once - staff have no problem with this though it does prompt a few grins! Staff are really friendly and attentive without intrusive.

Small niggle is that it can be hugely busy in the summer evenings/event days and then we would go somewhere else as with the best will in the world staff are rushed and, when full in summer, the restaurant can be very hot.

Best for lunch we find or early evening dinner.
