Belfast Boat Club was founded in 1887 and is home to oarsmen and women of all different ages and abilities. Based on the banks of the River Lagan the boathouse is a state of the art facility housing a fleet of modern eights, fours, quads, pairs, double and single sculls. Some members also own their own private boats and these are racked at the club for a small fee. In addition to the ergometers in the gym the boat house also has its own ergo room with 6 well maintained Concept 2 ergometers.

There are many benefits to joining the rowing section of Belfast Boat Club (BBC). Not only is your memebership to the Irish Rowing Amatuer Union (IARU) covered but you also have full use of all club facilites, including the gym, tennis courts, squash courts, fitness classes and not forgetting the bar and restaurant.
