Tongue tie can lead to breast feeding difficulties and some babies require the division of tongue tie.

Tongue Tie can be divided by a Spire Consultant, supported by a Paediatric Specialist Nurse, in an out-patient clinic for infants up to the age of 16 weeks. Our consultant will assess whether a tongue tie division is required, if so, they can perform the treatment during the same visit. This procedure does not require your baby to go into an operating theatre.

Once you have booked an appointment, a Paediatric Specialist Nurse will make contact with you to discuss the treatment and carry out a pre-assessment, they will assist with treatment and provide support and advice to families.
