    20-Feb-2014 Report

Birmingham's Science Museum is an excellent and highly educational day out for the whole family. A huge number of interactive exhibits provide endless opportunities for discussion - the big hit with my children is what has become known as 'The Poo Bit' (a fascinating insight into the workings of the human digestive system complete with toilet flushing sound button!). There is a wonderful play area called 'Kid City' with a pretend cafe and doctors surgery where they can dress up and let their imaginations run riot plus a water play area beloved by toddlers. Outside, there is a Science Garden with more water play and plenty of exhibits where children can touch and feel, push and pull. A truly fantastic resource which can get busy at weekends but during the week can be a great place to zone out and feel happy the little ones are playing and learning. Annual pass guarantees great value.
