Birmingham City University, Paradise Place, Birmingham, B3 3HG
Sat, 9.45am - 4.00pm
One day festival of children's literature with brilliant line-up of authors, illustrators and events throughout the day.
There will be three author panel events, two workshops and a series of story-tellings. The theme of the festival as a whole is linking literature and other art forms so each event has been planned with this in mind. The programme includes some of the greatest authors and illustrators in children's literature today; David Almond, Michael Morpurgo, Emma Chichester Clark, James Mayhew and Clara Vulliamy. Also appearing on the programme are the musicians from the Birmingham Conservatoire who will be playing Benjamin Britten's The Sword in the Stone. There will also be ‘drop-in' story-tellings throughout the day.
Tickets will be available to purchase from the 2nd September 2013 available via http://www.fcbg.org.uk/festival-of-childrens-literature/
