The Ribble Discovery Centre, which we run in partnership with Fylde Borough Council, offers a unique hands-on and fun learning experience. With opportunities to uncover the secrets of the Ribble Estuary mud and the creatures that call it home, and practical field work on the sand dunes, there are opportunities for all key stages and abilities.

Our programmes include:
EYFS & KS1 Exploring seasons
EYFS, KS1&2 Minibeasts
KS1 Plants
KS1 Going to the seaside
KS1&2 Mud dipping
KS2 Coasts
KS2 Soils and seeds
KS2 Foodchains
KS2-4 Habitat Investigations
KS3 Places and Environment
AS Level Geography Coasts

Our centre has a large learning space which you can use as a base for your visit. Within easy reach of this, there is a variety of interesting habitats, making a trip to the Ribble Discovery Centre a safe, yet exciting, coastal visit.

We also do a run a number of sessions in the evenings for those groups who meet outside the traditional 9-5. Not to mention an exciting and varied events programme designed to help everyone learn to love nature.

For more information on any of this please go to our website or contact us on the details below.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
