Cultural Sessions on Spain and Méjico

As part of our efforts to promote Hispanophone culture, we are running a series of five talks every other Tuesday from 10.30 to 11.45 a.m.- STARTING NOVEMBER 12th.

Sessions are 1¼ hrs. long and will be conducted mainly in English, but also integrating some Spanish vocabulary. The talk will last around 50 mins., then 25 minutes for questions and answers. The speaker is an experienced teacher of ‘A'Level students, who has been working for many years at one of Cambridge's most successful independent schools.

Sessions include:
1. El día de los Muertos en Méjico, fiesta Azteca y Cristiana – Tue Nov 12th.
2. Una región, un poeta: Galicia y Rosalía de Castro – Nov 26th.
3. Orígenes del Flamenco. El triángulo andaluz - Dec 10th.
4. Las Fallas de Valencia (Marzo):
celebración del fuego y la primavera - Date TBC.
5. La Semana Santa (Abril).
Sevilla y Castilla, mano a mano - Date TBC.
