Psychology study - "The Teddy Train Game"

disabled access

I'm running a research study looking the ability of young children (3.5-6.5 years old) to imagine future experiences. The study involves a slow moving toy train and two teddy bears who watch the train through tinted glasses. Children are asked to predict what each bear will see when the train completes it's journey. In addition we play a number of 3 games with children which look at their ability to mentally rotate objects, their understanding of the terms 'before' and 'after' in sentences and a measure of their receptive vocabulary. All the tasks are fun for children and each participating child will receive a special Cambridge University t-shirt.
