The Jolly Archers

Hunts/St Ives/Ramsey

The Jolly Archers Of Houghton & Wyton came into being on 1st August 1962 at a meeting held in the Three Jolly Butchers public house in Wyton village. The Club has grown from the initial ten members and is currently one of the largest in Cambridgeshire. We have club archers who compete at National level, some at county level and some at club level shooting alongside novice archers and those who just shoot for fun. The club has a positive attitude to introducing people to the sport; we have worked with Huntingdon District Council and local charities by offering 'taster sessions' and provided "Have a go's" at local fĂȘtes and for local clubs.

The Jolly Archers are part of the Cambridgeshire Archery Association and the Southern Counties Archery Society and affiliated to The Grand National Archery Society, the sport's governing body.
