Hi everyone,

I am running a very fun study for children between 4 and 6.5 years of age. We are looking at the emergence of episodic memory and its relationship to children's understanding of mental states, mental rotation, source of knowledge and verbal ability. We play a number of simple games with children to measure these latter abilities. The main memory task involves visiting a pretend jungle in our playroom and playing a game were we listen out for animal noises.

The study requires visiting on two consecutive days and takes about 30-40 mins to run each day. Visits on weekends or school holidays as well as after school are fine. Children really enjoy taking part and any parents interested in their child's cognitive development will find it very interesting.
