Great Fen Project

The Great Fen - one of the most exciting habitat restoration projects ever undertaken in Britain - will create a beautiful fenland landscape of over 9,000 acres (fourteen square miles) between Huntingdon and Peterborough.

This will be achieved by obtaining land adjacent to two existing National Nature Reserves, Holme Fen and Woodwalton Fen. Connecting two vitally important nature reserves will provide a haven for wildlife and create a massive green space for people, opening new opportunities for recreation, education and business.

The Great Fen is involved in 2020Vision, a multimedia project that communicates the link between people's well being and the restoration of natural systems. Working with 20 top professional wildlife photographers, the project aims to collate a collection of compelling wildlife images to inspire and inform.
