For more than 1,000 years, the Christian Church in Little Paxton can rightfully claim to be in the centre of village life and culture. The present St James' Church, a traditional stone building, has parts that are about 900 years old and continues to maintain today an opportunity for worship and mission in the cause of Jesus Christ. Over the centuries, many beneficial extensions and alterations have taken place and much local history has become enshrined in its artefacts and monuments. Recently during 2011 and 2012 the bells were restored and the church extensively re-ordered. We now have a light and warm building with flexible seating. The building is now used more extensively.
