Gail's Artisan Bakery (Hampstead)


Where bread is concerned we are puritanical. Our daily bread doesn't need preservatives because it comes to you fresh every day. The only additives our artisan bakers use are natural ingredients - nuts, fruit, vegetables or herbs. We don't use chemicals to speed up the fermentation of our dough because we love slow dough - we know its better, you know it tastes better.

We are not just a shop on a High Street, we are part of the local scene. We make friends with the customers that we see every day. We are here for them… to provide bread, morning coffee, afternoon tea, conversation or a quiet hiatus. Being part of a community is important to us, which is why we host events; to draw people together and ‘break bread' with our neighbours.
