Hampstead Heath, N
28-Sep-16 to 28-Sep-21
8:30am to before dusk
The magniÀcent Pergola overlooks the West Heath and provides Àne views towards Harrow on the Hill.
It was the realised dream of the rich idealist William H Lever – later Lord Leverhulme - and is equal in length to the height of the Canary Wharf tower.
The structure and its kitchen gardens have been sympathetically restored to their former glory by the
City of London. Along with the tranquil and beautiful Hill Garden, the Pergola is one of the London's best kept secrets.
Open every day 8:30am to before dusk (with the earliest closing time
being 3:45pm during the winter).
Check signs on site for precise closing times.
For health and safety reasons, the Pergola may be closed in icy, stormy or windy weather.
