Come to a live orchestral concert featuring the children's story “The Selfish Giant,” narrated by Baroness Floella Benjamin of Playschool fame with music by award winning composer Howard Goodall. The concert also features Beethoven's 7th Symphony and extracts from Mozart's opera Apollo and Hyacinth. As well as an evening performance at 8pm there will also be a matinée performance of The Selfish Giant at 2.30pm with a fun educational twist, which will be perfect for children of all ages and families. The Jersey Chamber Orchestra will be accompanied by a choir of 100 children and will be directed by Daniel Cohen – also Director of the Deutsche Opera Berlin. In aid of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and supported by Veritas Investment Management.
