Drawn out of Love

disabled access

Drawn out of Love features engravings, watercolours, lino-prints and pencil sketches by Barbara Greg and her husband, Norman Janes.
Barbara grew up at Quarry Bank in the early 1900s and went on to illustrate many countryside books including The Poacher's Handbook.
Her art was heavily influenced by the landscape around Quarry Bank and the influence of her family's history in industry.
She met Norman at the Slade School of Art in London and he too was influenced by nature, as well as industrial life and workers.
