Age UK to hand out 'Winter Warmth' packs

Do you have a relative, friend or neighbour who is feeling the cold this winter?

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service will be on hand to help raise awareness of Age UK Cheshire's 'Winter Warmth' campaign in Chester City Centre on Thursday, 7 March.

Firefighters will be assisting the charity to hand out its FREE packs, designed to help older people in the local area stay warm and well over the coming weeks, beside their fire engine which will be parked in front of the Chester Town Hall in Northgate Street from 11am-12noon.

The Winter Warmth packs contain the following items:
• A fleecy blanket
• Thermal hat and gloves
• Thermal cup
• Hot water bottle
• Thermal hot water bottle cover
• Room thermometer
• Soup packets
• Age UK booklet entitled “Winter Wrapped Up”, with advice on keeping well and staying warm in Winter
