The Blue Bar

  • Porthtowan, TR4 8AD

You would have to look hard to find a restaurant more family-friendly than Porthtowan's Blue Bar.

Mini portions, ice cram and child friendly drinks keep little ones happy while older ones can play free range on the sand dunes (opposite) or have a game of pool.

This is a funky place to eat but it can be a little loud! The outside terraces are just the spot if you want to soak up some breath-taking sunsets – although the cosy window alcoves have equal appeal on a cold day!

Check out the specials board if the regular menu is too traditional (think proper fsh and chips, burgers, but good vegetarian options such as a Mediterranean mezze).

    25-Nov-2013 Report

Food is locally sourced and home cooked. The burgers never disappoint, my kids love the fish and chips or thai-spiced curries.

A great place to refresh after a day on the beach, or to warm up after a good walk on a cold, wet, wintry day.

Loud, bubbly, cozy and so long as kids are supervised families are given a very warm welcome.
