A large and beautiful park. The lakeside walk is suitable for pushchairs. Jetties for pond-dipping and a treetop trail can be found along the route, along with sculptures, an outdoor classroom carved from wood, a bird hide near the lake and the Ted Hughes Poetry Trail.
The park is served by the Nature Interpretation Centre, with hands-on wildlife displays, a classroom and a wealth of learning opportunities.
Picnic area and toilets are situated beside the Centre, with an ice-cream van often there too in summer months. The park is free to enter, but please note that parking is pay and display only.
