This brand new library opened in 2010 in partnership with Hamworthy Children's Centre. It offers a wide range of books, DVDs, audiobooks on both cassette and CD and the following new facilities:

The Book Bites Café, managed by volunteers from the local community, serves light meals, snacks and drinks.
Multi-purpose Community Rooms are available to hire, complete with an automatic projector
An Interview Room is available to hire
A Studio/Media Room is available to hire, complete with musical instruments for making and recording music, and equipment for creating podcasts
Television screens showing 24-hour news and available to promote the services of, and information about, local groups and organisations
10 Computers with free Internet access and Microsoft Office 2007
1 Computer with both the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and the Computer Booking system
Wi-fi free of charge
