Wool Community Library is managed by the Friends of Wool Library, with support from Dorset County Council and Wool Parish Council. It is operated and funded entirely by volunteers and businesses who live and/or work in Wool and the surrounding villages. The Community Library offers a service focused on the needs of the village and local area but linked into the County Library Service.
We took over the running of the Library on 15 January 2013. The Library would otherwise have had to close as part of Dorset County Council's funding cuts.

We have everything you would expect to find in a local library: information, recreation, education and culture. You can borrow books, including large print and children's books. Talking books, CDs and DVDs are available from the County through the reservation service.
