The Big Fun Runs are 5km untimed runs staged within scenic parks throughout the UK. Here you will find a relaxed atmosphere suitable for all the family where you can accomplish your personal goals; whether you are raising money for a worthwhile cause close to your heart, remembering a loved one or simply keeping active, the Big Fun Run is the ideal event for beginners and experienced runners alike.

The start/finish area is located on the playing fields to the rear of Holyrood Palace and only a short distance from the Scottish Parliament. The course takes advantage of the excellent tarred surface as it follows Queen's Drive around Arthurs Seat. The route passes by the Salisbury Crags, the three lochs of Duddingston, Dunsapie and St Margaret's and enjoys extensive views across Edinburgh.
