Essex has so much to offer. We have some of the most beautiful countryside, busiest towns and picturesque villages in the country.
Southend-on-Sea is home to the longest pleasure pier in the World! At 1.34 miles long, it takes a while to walk there and back, however there is a train available for a small charge.
Dedham is known as Constable Country. It was here that Britain's greatest landscape artist went to school. Set by the River Stour, it is a pleasure to visit and explore the amazing views. Whilst there you may like to visit Manningtree which is Britain's smallest town.
Brentwood is home to the historic Secret Nuclear Bunker, which houses many interesting facts. The bunker was originally built to hold up to 600 military and civilian personnel with the aim of organising the survival of the population in the aftermath of a nuclear war.
These are just some of the facts about Essex. Each town, of which there are 63, has something special to offer, from castles, zoos and an array of shopping possibilities. It really is quite a special place.
