Growing from the Ground Up HARVEST SEASON (6 sessions of 1 hour and 45 minutes each)
Growing from the ground up on Thursdays/ Fridays after school club between 16.15 - 18.00

A number of 6 sessions of 1 hour and 45 minutes each running on 6 weeks/ once a week between September the 15th/ 16th till October the 20th/21st.

During our Harvest Season course we will be:
•Harvesting leeks, cauliflowers, cabbages, purple sprouting broccoli,
•Learning about many varieties of apples and squash.
•Sowing in the polytunnel: lettuce, oriental greens that we harvest for our salad bags during the winter: rocket, purse lane, pak choi, etc.
•Harvesting red/ white cabbage, and main crop potatoes.
•Exploring ways of preserving food, pickle making.
•Looking after our chickens flock (our cockerel Jack and 6 chickens), Amelie and Louis our ewe and lamb , make sure they are safe and have enough to eat and drink.
•Discovering wild life around the farm and in hedgerows and different medicinal herb/ weeds, and flowers.
•Learning about some trees in our farm, and observe their magical rapid autumnal transformation.
