A great place to compensate for a weak primary school music department but IMHO not fast-paced enough for a talented child who could be learning an instrument in Year 1 and would benefit from longer instrument tuition than circa 20 minutes. You would need to pay more to extend this.
Only brass and string instruments seem allowed to perform in early years, some children performing twice at concerts some not getting to play at all.
On the plus the people running the scheme are great and very vocational and very knowledgeable people.
I would say it is above average but not performing to as high a standard as the music provision of some independent schools. My opinion is based on the early Years of the scheme, it may be different in later years where children must audition to get a place.
