Lauderdale House


Built in 1582 and set in the beautiful Waterlow Park, Lauderdale House now runs primarily as an arts and education centre, welcoming over 65,000 visitors each year. Our varied programme includes concerts, performances, exhibitions, classes and events as well as weddings, parties and receptions, which together bring this historic building to life. There is also a lively restaurant adjacent to the Lower Gallery offering delicious modern British cuisine, tea, coffee, cakes and snacks throughout the week (excluding Mondays).

Opening hours.
Exhibitions and the House:
Wednesday to Friday: 11am to 4pm.
Saturdays: 1.30pm to 5pm (subject to private bookings).
Sundays: 10am to 5pm.

Tuesdays to Sundays: 10am to dusk
Also open on Spring and Summer Bank Holidays BUT closed on Tuesdays following Bank Holiday Mondays and closed over Christmas (please telephone 020 8341 4807) for details.
