Moselle River Walk

Haringey's Moselle River meanders from its true source in Queen's Wood, through Priory Park, Wood Green, Lordship Recreation Ground, Tottenham Cemetery (pictured), Down Lane Park and Markfield Park before joining the River Lea.

Until the 19th century, the whole of the River Moselle was above ground, but in 1836 a large section of it along Tottenham High Road and White Hart Lane was covered over, and in later years yet more went underground.

Today you can follow the course of the river with the help of the Haringey Friends of Parks Forum map, which can be downloaded here:

The River Moselle is seven and a half miles long and takes in much of historical Haringey along its way.
