Bordering the Highgate end of Haringey.
Hampstead Heath is one of London's most popular open spaces. An island of beautiful countryside, the magic of Hampstead Heath lies not only in its rich wildlife and extensive sports and recreational opportunities, but also in its proximity to millions of people. There is a zoo, an athletics track, an education centre, extensive children's facilities, three swimming ponds and a Lido.
The 112 acres of Kenwood House is on the crest of Hampstead Heath. In contrast to the natural Heath, the park around Kenwood House is very much a designed landscape in an English style. In the 18th Century Humphry Repton created a series of meandering paths around the estate which would show off all its aspects to their best advantage.
Kenwood House is closed and will re-open Autumn 2013 Kenwood Estate is open from 7am to dusk (see park entrance for closed time). The Brewhouse cafe is open 9am-5pm.
