For some people, the idea of going to a gym or fitness centre can be daunting. Some prefer a dance based class with the satisfaction of personal performance as well as increased fitness. Medau Movement takes the fear 'of the gym' away, by making class-based dance fitness fun in a way you may not have considered; small, hand-held apparatus, including hoops and balls, are used to explore the body's natural stretch and rhythm whilst providing an effective work out.
The classes are easy-to-follow, yet progressive, meaning every class offers something a little different each week. It's not just ‘playtime' though; the use of apparatus actively makes your body healthier and stronger, improving hand-eye coordination, posture, upper-body strength and cardiovascular health to name but a few benefits, all this from a work out that you can bring your friends to!

Medau Movement is listed as an activity on This Girl Can, the campaign of which inspired over 2 million women in the UK to exercise more frequently.
Age is no barrier to Medau Movement, where a majority of their participants are over 50 years old. That's not to say the younger folk can't attend too; with Medau Movement, anyone can!
