Female part time carer/support worker

Female part time carer needed for a smart, funny, 11 year old girl with cerebral palsy.

Training to being July 2016
Hours will include 2-3 days after school. Some weekends & School holidays
The family would like a positive, confident, patient person to either work with the family. The family requires the applicant to be confident to play and look after the younger sibling who is five. The family need someone with good interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour.
The family need drivers who have a clean DSB and drivers license.

Experience of special needs and physical disabilities is preferable in applicants. Training will be needed for most people but this depends on their current skill level. As long as applicants have transferable skills and good references the family are open to people who want to gain experience and are able to demonstrate maturity. The family seek applicants with great attitude, selfmotivation and great communication skills. Willingness to learn how to communicate with a nonverbal child is essential. The child has physical disabilities that prevent speech but is cognitively bright and is a very good communicator. Please contact above if interested!
