Footsteps Pre-Nursery seeks to provide a warm and caring atmosphere where children can participate fully in an educational curriculum based on learning through play. We aim to nurture and inspire the children in our care with encouragement, praise, love and cuddles, and will guide them as they grow in independence, imagination and agility.
Through the medium of play we aim to provide a curriculum which will develop language, develop conceptual skills, aid physical development, help children learn about life and feelings and encourage mathematical, scientific and artistic understanding.
Our curriculum is built on the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our staff regularly attend training courses and keep up to date with curriculum development and recommended best practice.
Footsteps is fully Ofsted registered and inspected. Our very successful inspection can be viewed on the Ofsted website.
Footsteps is the perfect place for my child. From the first day he was very happy and excited and that is a good sign. The staff is very professional and they have that special touch with children that as a parent I feel always relief to leave my boy in good hands. Lots of fun, learning and and lovely atmosphere. I 100% recommended
Both my kids have been to Footsteps and both have loved it! They both developed so nicely and had fun whilst learning! The woods are wonderful to play in and the staff were just amazing. Highly recommend it
I would thoroughly recommend Footsteps - it feels like a really special place. Our son absolutely loves it there and really enjoys going in each day. We have watched him blossom and learn so much during his time there, and that is definitely down to the wonderful atmosphere and lovely staff!
My daughter started attending Footsteps Pre-School in January 2013 and absolutely loves it! Her confidence has grown immensely and she has learnt so much. The staff are lovely and she looks forward to seeing them each time. This morning, when told that today was a pre-school day, she jumped up and down shouting "I'm so excited". There is also a lunch club that lasts for an additional 70 minutes.
There is also an excellent playgroup that runs on a wednesday morning starting at 9.30am.
