For gruesome chills this Halloween head to The Canterbury Tales in Kent. Chaucer's classic tales take a sinister turn with live horror performances in a church graveyard.
Take a guided tour through the diseased streets of medieval England, where nasty surprises lurk. The Terrible Tales has been written by University of Kent drama graduate Lonnie Storey and will be performed by university students.
The Canterbury Tales is celebrating its 25th anniversary and, for the first time, costumed character guides are on hand to entertain, amuse and educate visitors for part of the tour, which brings to life five of Geoffrey Chaucer's best-loved tales.
The Canterbury Tales provides a great introduction to the cathedral city and its famous literary connection as well as being a hugely entertaining day out for the whole family.
