Background Info: In 1913, French artist Marcel Duchamp spent a number of weeks in Herne Bay as a chaperone to his younger sister Yvonne, who was studying English. At this time Duchamp had turned his back on painting and resolved to take his work in new radical directions. The result would change the course of Art History.
