Maidstone Museum is a gem, set in an Elizabethan Manor House with Victorian, 20th and 21st Century wings, there is much to explore. Free to enter, the museum offers activities for children every weekday of the holidays and special storytelling and wiggle and jiggle sessions for the under 5's. Children will love discovering the hands on areas around the galleries, the Egyptian geocache, and the trails and quizzes available. Childrens activities are approved by the childrens university, so come and collect your credit stamps, and coming in 2013 will be a new offer for young people interested in gaining an Arts Award. The exhibitions programme offers something for all with family friendly and adult events linked to the rolling programme.
