Rich Cutler is a Brighton based photographer who explores the instinctual nature of classification, and the human need to form order from chaos. Inspired by the notion of some collectors to control nature through a painstaking collection and display of insects, as those displayed here at Maidstone Museum. His fascination lies in the failure of the archive to maintain this state of control, and often descending into dust. http://www.richcutler.co.uk/
Talk will be followed with refreshments and a Q & A session with the artist.
