Baby Signing with TinyTalk

disabled access

TinyTalk Classes help families understand and experience the amazing benefits of baby signing in a fun way. We teach families how to develop their babies' early speech, language and literacy skills.

Early language development and understanding also encourages early speech as the signs are always said at the same time. Babies' initial words will be inaccurate but will develop with maturity.

Baby signing also strengthens the child-parent bond and baby signing also reduces frustration, boosts self-esteem and self-confidence: in short making for very happy parents and carers and even happier babies!

The Toddler class is a fun class where the emphasis is on teaching your child to say the words out loud while signing. Please see the website for further information.

Courses also run in Thames Ditton, please see the website for venue details.

Times and prices are subject to change. Contact venue before setting out.

    24-Oct-2012 Report

I took my daughter to Tiny Talk from 4 months until 18 months, and it was worth it for so many reasons. She started signing at 7 months (milk, nappy and sleep initially) which made it sooo much easier to know what she expected of me. Her delight every time I understood a sign was obvious - I truly believe that she was a happier and less frustrated little person because she could tell me what she needed. After about 13 months, the signs flew out of her, and she constantly amazed me with her signing vocab (sometimes signing things that she had only seen in class, not signs I regularly use), and now, at 2 years, she has a great vocabulary - her first spoken words were the ones she was most confident signing.
Besides the benefits to our communication, Tiny Talk was wonderful just as a place to meet other mums. The class is relaxed, Kerry is wonderful and there is time for TEA & BISCUITS afterwards! I've been to other classes where everyone rushes off at the end, but at Tiny Talk you actually get a chance to chat while the kiddies play with the toys provided. Although I no longer go to classes, I still keep in touch with several of the mums I met through Tiny Talk, and I am waiting for the Toddler classes to start in January!
