Waterloo East Theatre

Borough wide

Waterloo East Theatre opened in September 2010 and was founded and created by multi-award winning theatre producer Gerald Armin who discovered the unused railway arch in 2009 and decided it would make a great small theatre that would be an addition to the already thriving cultural quarter in Waterloo. This project was undertaken and completed without any grants or funding and continues to operate this way by the generous support of our tickets buyers and donors.

Since opening the theatre has welcomed over 70 productions that have entertained more that 65,000 ticket holders. Many productions receiving critical acclaim and Off West End award nominations, with two plays currently being developed into feature films, and two productions transferring to seasons Off-Broadway.
