Pregnancy yoga is energising, uplifting and nurturing. Strength is developed through asana (posture) practice, a connection with the baby occurs through pranayama (breathing techniques), mantra and meditation. Yoga aids deep relaxation, calms fluctuating emotions and helps to prepare you for labour and motherhood. It is advisable to wait until after the first trimester to practice yoga.
