Perfect museum to take the kids to, there are a huge amount of activities for the kids to take part in. But the ground floor would have to be the favourite with all the animals. Then the Corner Cafe in the museum is a great place for lunch with delicious food for the parents and some good choices for the kids and amazing cakes for everyone!! Just an all round perfect family day out.

My children love Leeds City Museum especially the tiger.
And the lift which is not even listed as an attraction.
I have taken toddlers to The Natural History Museum - it was busy, stressful and they spent most of the time pushing rice cakes through a brass floor grate.
In comparison this Leeds city centre museum is an oasis of calm, it's just the right size to keep an eye on two pre school children, there's an under 5's play house on the second floor and there's usually some colouring in and dressing up to be found somewhere.
