Volunteer as a Reading Helper

Borough wide

disabled access

Becoming a Beanstalk trained reading helper is a great way to make a lasting difference to a child's life and enjoy a highly rewarding volunteering experience.

Beanstalk is a children's literacy charity that recruits, trains and supports volunteers to work in primary schools with children who are struggling with their reading. We urgently need more volunteers to allow us to help more children this year.

We are looking for volunteers to read with children in primary schools in Croydon, Greenwich, Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham and Bromley (BR1, BR2 & BR3 postcodes).

Our reading helpers work with three children each for a whole year, going into school twice a week for an hour and a half at a time (half an hour with each child, twice a week).

If you can make the commitment above and want a really rewarding volunteering experience that will transform the lives of children in your area, then please contact us for more information.

You can read more at www.beanstalkcharity.org.uk/reading-helpers and apply online at https://www.beanstalkcharity.org.uk/register-now, or you can call us on 020 3751 1091 for more information.
