What a wonderful afternoon we had at Neighbourhood and their amazing Mad Hatters Tea Party!! We were greeted with a warm welcome, (which these days in the City Centre with a toddler is not always easy to find) fabulous food and magical surroundings.
The new menu has 2 options 'Sandwich Slices' or 'Delightful Neighbourhood Delicacies' which included mini type burgers etc. They also have a childs menu which looked super cute too. I decided on the traditional sandwich slices
with a much needed cup of tea served in the prettiest bone china. I also managed to prise a lobster taco of my husband's alternative platter and it was divine. With another cup of tea poured, I moved up a tier to the cakes. The Victoria sponge and carrot cake would have Mary Berry quaking in her flour!!
Having an area for them toddler tag walks between me and my husband is a blessing with a lively 15 month old and although it was croquet, we think we may have the next Tiger Woods on our hands,!!! His big brother may not agree as the ball would go missing when it was his turn!! The Berry Kiss cocktail with at least two of his 5 a day managed to put a smile on his face along with a big fat ice cream Sundae!!
I can't recommend this place enough. Perfect if you're in the city shopping with babies or pre-schoolers and meeting friends for lunch , a school holiday treat with the older kids or maybe leave the little ones at home and go with a group of big kids and have the champagne option, ahhh now that would be bliss.
