Central Library

City Centre

The beautifully refurbished and extended Central Library is open. The historic features have been sensitively restored and transformed, bringing the building up to twenty-first century standards.
A children's area with a difference - it's themed on the Secret Garden by local author, Frances Hodgson Burnet.
Manchester Central Library is one of the most instantly recognisable structures in the city centre and its circular architecture is impressive from both the outside and the inside - particularly its round reading room.
