Positive Birth Movement Manchester meeting

disabled access

A positive birth means a birth in which a woman feels she has freedom of choice, access to accurate information, and that she is in control, powerful and respected. A birth that she approaches, perhaps with some trepidation, but without fear or dread, and that she then goes on to enjoy, and later remember with warmth and pride.

Manchester PBM is held monthly in Burnage. Westcroft if a lovely place and they have free tea and coffee. The staff are welcoming and there are toys for children. The building is secure, and there is free parking.

Meetings are informal, and peer to peer.

Pregnant women seeking to discuss their options and find information are welcome to attend, with their families/birth partners should they wish.

Women who have had positive birth experiences are invited to come along and share their stories.
