the beautiful Cannizaro Park, a Grade II * listed park in the heart of Wimbledon Common and a stone's throw from Wimbledon Village.

Cannizaro Park, with a history dating back to its years as part of the Duke of Cannizaro's Estate and its transition to a public Park when Merton Borough Council adopted it in 1949, is a well loved and popular park.

There's a variety of walks from plain flat paths, suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs to others which can only be negotiated on foot. All are easily navigable by most visitors Cannizaro Park is a joy to visit throughout all the seasons but is really special during spring and autumn.

It's not just for those who appreciate its natural qualities - it also has a long history of staging arts events ranging from displays of modern sculpture to musical events.

This vast and beautiful landscaped garden on the edge of Wimbledon Common and adjacent to the Cannizaro Hotel (although not now owned by it) is highly recommended for relaxing walks and quality outdoor time.

It's particularly lovely in Spring and Summer for picturesqe walks and a picnic if the weather is good enough! And if you can retire to Cannizaro House for a leisurely drink/afternoon tea all the better!
